An enquiry to us is the first stage of the admission process. Please contact Mrs Walmsley with any questions you may have, or to arrange an individual show round of the School, on 01704 842240 or email email@example.com
Following a show round of the School, pupils are invited to join us for two taster days in their relevant year group. Over the two days, they will take part in entry assessments and also experience lessons and activities with the class. Children attend wearing their current school uniform and bring with them some PE kit to take part in the extracurricular activities as well as PE lessons. We will provide lunch for them on both days however, we suggest parents send in First School children with a snack and water bottle whilst pupils in Middle School and College can purchase a snack at break time.
As part of the application process we would at this stage ask you to also provide us with the most recent copy of your child’s school report. For overseas candidates, arrangements can be made for assessments to be taken in the country of residence. Please contact us for further details.
Feedback Meeting with the Head
Following the taster days, at the end of the second day you will be invited to meet with the Headmaster Mr Shaw for Middle and College pupils and Dean of First School Mr Hanson for First School pupils who will discuss with you your child’s assessments and feedback on the two days at Scarisbrick Hall School.
Admission & Application
Pupils are offered places based on their performance in the entry assessments, two taster days and will be subject to satisfactory references from their current school. In all cases, a place is only confirmed by signing and returning an original copy of the Admission Form, along with £250 registration fee.
Year 7 Entrance Examination
For further information regarding the Entrance Examination for Year 7 at Scarisbrick Hall School, please call
Mrs Walmsley on 01704 842240.
Entry into Reception
Following your enquiry for a place in our Reception classes, you will be invited in for a show round and if you would like to confirm a place for your child, you will be required to complete the School Admission Form and pay the £250 registration fee. This will then secure their place for starting in the September of the academic year that they will be five years old. If your child is already attending our Pre School you will be given first option on places in the School.
Entry into other Year groups
Throughout the academic year we have a number of enquiries from families who are looking to move school due to relocation or change in circumstances. Entry into the school can be at any age from 4 years to 17 years but the most common entry points are Year 3, Year 5, Year 9 and the Lower Sixth Form. If however, you are looking to move during the current academic year, children would be invited to have 2 taster days in that year group.
