Scarisbrick Hall First School
PRE SCHOOL - YEAR 4
"Our First School provides an exceptional start for our youngest pupils as they begin their Scarisbrick Hall School journey. We strive to provide the very best education for children aged 3-9, while making the most of our stunning, unique environment and our talented staff."
Our supportive ethos helps develop your child as a whole and we pride ourselves on our high academic standards. The benefit of small class sizes, high quality teaching and an outstanding environment all support and prepare our youngest pupils for their academic development.
Pupils in our First School benefit from the close rapport they build with their teachers within a small class setting. We believe that each child is unique and brings their own qualities to the school. We work hard to enhance the development of content of character from day one – a journey that continues throughout the school. Vital to this task is the quality of relationships between staff and children.
Sport plays a large part of life in the First School. Our philosophy for these young children is to provide them with as much variety of opportunity as possible, so that they can develop a breadth of skills which they can transfer from one sporting activity to another. We also want the children to enjoy being active, promoting a healthy attitude towards sport and fitness
Beyond The Classroom
There is far more to education than the lessons that take place in the classroom.
First School pupils are given the opportunity to experience a wealth of additional activities to enhance their learning from the outset. These activities supplement our curriculum of lessons, core PE and Performing Arts and are designed to extend, enrich and excite pupils to develop resilience, determination, teamwork and self-belief.
We are blessed with beautiful and extensive grounds at Scarisbrick Hall School. We work hard to bring this fortunate position into the pupils’ learning in First School.
We have four qualified Forest School leaders who plan and deliver a bespoke programme of outdoor learning in and around our forest. The learning links to each class’s theme for the term and challenges the children creatively and socially as they work in teams to complete a number of tricky but engaging tasks.
