Scarisbrick Hall First School
RECEPTION - YEAR 4
A full programme of exciting, enrichment and extension activities is offered and is built into the weekly routine. First School E3 sports activities include taekwondo, hockey, rugby and multi-skills, while E3 Arts activities include dance, drama, wider opportunities in music, such as violin and trombone tuition, and pottery. All such activities take place in curriculum time.
In addition, the staff team works hard to offer as diverse a menu of co-curricular clubs as possible, sporting and otherwise. These take place before school, at lunchtime and after school.

Our dedicated team of musicians and teachers provide a whole range of musical and performance opportunities for pupils who wish to further their creative opportunities at Scarisbrick Hall School. Pupils can join the First School Choir and take part in First School and even whole school productions. Each Form will also perform an Assembly over the academic year based on their current topic for that term.

Many pupils learn musical instruments with peripatetic teachers, while we also offer whole class tuition on such instruments as the violin and the trombone through the E3 programme. Further musical opportunities are offered through lunchtime or after-school clubs. Our aim is to provide every opportunity we can to provide pupils with engaging activities to enrich their experience. We hope that our pupils will enjoy themselves and even find activities they can commit to and develop to a high standard over subsequent years.
