Scarisbrick Hall Middle School
"Our unique Middle Year’s Curriculum supports pupils at this critical time in their education. Pupils enjoy more freedom and independence, supported by the School’s excellent pastoral care system. Subjects are studied in greater depth with specialist subject teachers leading all aspects of the curriculum from Year 5. In Middle School the extra-curricular aspects are enhanced with further opportunities to take part in our extensive co-curricular provision and competitions."
The curriculum in Year 5 and 6 takes pupils on a journey far beyond the standard national curriculum, with an emphasis on depth of understanding across a range of subjects.
In Years 7 and 8 pupils build and extend their knowledge in preparation for GCSE study.
The pastoral care of our pupils is our highest priority. Tutors and form tutors provide guidance and support on a daily basis.
Sporting activities are an essential part of life at Scarisbrick Hall School. There is a strong emphasis on sporting excellence. However, children of all abilities have the opportunity to participate, progress and experience competition.
Performing Arts are a central part of a child's education at Scarisbrick Hall School. In Middle School every child receives lessons in Art, Dance, Drama, Music and Catering as part of their core curriculum. Students are also encouraged to take exams through ABRSM and LAMDA.
