Scarisbrick Hall Sixth Form
Sixth Form Arts
Sixth Form students, regardless of whether they are studying one of the Arts, can avail themselves of a number of opportunities in the Arts.
There are a range of ensembles from the Chamber Choir to the Orchestra led by our team of specialist tutors. Students can also choose to have individual performance mentoring from our Musician in Residence as well as Conservatoire level individual tuition. Each year there are a range of productions and performances of which students can take part including our annual Carols at the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. Recent productions include Romeo and Juliet, Beauty and the Beast, Our House and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
We are always keen to give pupils the chance to take their passion for drama and dance in new directions. There are opportunities for pupils to direct, produce and design productions, or to take responsibility for costumes, props or make-up as well as opportunities within technical theatre. We encourage students to complete the Gold Arts Award to support UCAS applications.
We also host an International Performance Masterclass series which allow students to work with some of the best-known names in classical music and jazz. Previous coaches have included, Bill Connor, Denis Rollins, Alan Barnes and Andy Scott.
There are also a range of theatre and concert trips which include an annual London Performing Arts Residential, and visits to the Liverpool Philharmonic. Sixth Form students can also be involved in the concert tour which takes place every two years.
