Global citizen trip

The Global citizen trip is a great way for our Sixth Form students to learn about, community engagement, experience a new culture and develop a deeper understanding of the world’s problems. The projects are specially designed by the Head of Sixth Form with the support from GVI and are intended to fully immerse and challenge students. They are packed with adventure and cultural awareness to ensure students have a wealth of new experiences, which will ultimately impact their future and self-development.

We want to develop within all our students through these opportunities, the skills and sense of courage which will enable to them to overcome and thrive on each and every challenge they are faced in their lives, and to leave Scarisbrick Hall as an adult with the conviction that they can make a positive difference to the world.

“There are too many words to describe our experience in Thailand as it has been unbelievable. I have been inspired by the children we have met as every single one of them had a smile on their face, this made me realise how lucky we all are and how we take things for granted. They have so little yet smile so much. I want to say thank you to all those who have made this possible, it will stay with me forever.”
Emma
“Thailand was a highly enjoyable and eye-opening experience that awakened me to many issues facing our planet and its people and what actions as individuals we can take to change it. Overall the experience made me feel like I have contributed to the greater good and have had a positive impact”
