Record-breaking A Level results for Scarisbrick Hall School

Scarisbrick Hall School is celebrating an exceptional set of A Level results for the Class of 2026, with this year’s pupils achieving the highest number of A*/A grades in the School’s history.

The cohort achieved a 98% pass rate, with more than 60% of all grades awarded at A*–B and A*/A once again the most frequently awarded grade.

It is a wonderful achievement for a year group who have contributed so much to Scarisbrick Hall, both academically and through the many areas of school life they have embraced during their time here.

There were some outstanding individual results. Head Girl S Green achieved all four of her A Levels at A*/A and will now take up her place at the University of St Andrews to study Physics.

Her contribution to Scarisbrick Hall has extended far beyond the classroom and she will be greatly missed as she begins this exciting next chapter.

W Grant also achieved four A Levels at A*/A, while S Berkley, L Sharma, A Spence and G Johnson achieved all of their grades at A*/A. G Johnson will be heading to the University of Oxford in September to study History and Politics.

There was plenty to celebrate across individual subjects too. Humanities and Religious Studies achieved an average A*/A rate of 60%, while the School’s Extended Project Qualification results saw 100% of grades awarded at A*/A.

For many pupils, results day brought confirmation that they will be heading to their first-choice university. The Class of 2026 will be represented at universities across the country, including Oxford, Bristol, St Andrews, Nottingham, Liverpool and Leeds, studying subjects ranging from PPE, Medicine and Law to Classics, Engineering, Sciences and Mathematics.

The achievements of the year group also extend well beyond traditional university routes.

C France has secured a place at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona to continue her Dance training, while H Hattingh is beginning an exciting professional sporting career after securing a rugby contract in France.

The School is also incredibly proud of its University of the Arts London (UAL) Performing Arts students, who celebrated their own excellent results. Alongside C France’s place in Barcelona, B Morano O’Toole has secured a place at Jelli Studios Theatre Arts College. Both achievements are a reflection of the talent, commitment and hard work they have shown throughout their time at Scarisbrick Hall.

For the Class of 2026, A Level results day marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of many very different ones. These young people leave Scarisbrick Hall for universities, specialist training and professional careers, but they also leave behind a huge contribution to the life of the School.

For some families, this moment has been many years in the making. Parents who have watched their children grow through Scarisbrick Hall are also reaching the end of their own journey with the School, and it has been a privilege to share those years with them.

There is, quite rightly, enormous pride in the results achieved this year. A record number of top grades deserves to be celebrated. But the success of the Class of 2026 cannot be measured by examination results alone.

We are equally proud of the young men and women they have become, the opportunities they have created for themselves and the values they will take with them as they move on from Scarisbrick Hall.

They leave us as pupils and begin their next chapters as lifelong alumni of Scarisbrick Hall School.
