Results and Inspection Reports

Here at Scarisbrick Hall School, we are proud to be rated Grade 1 in all aspects and areas of academic performance, school life and facilities. This is what makes us one of the top independent schools in the area. We were awarded a rating of ‘100% Excellent’ by the Independent School Inspectorate in our most recent inspection.

Our most recent ISI inspection is welcome proof that we are building a better future for our students as we aim to become the North West’s most progressive and forward-thinking independent school.

This ISI report stated that our “early years provision is outstanding in meeting children’s needs”, whilst “the pupils’ excellent achievement reflects exemplary attitudes to their learning and a willingness to think for themselves”. This stems from the RIVER Learning Method that is instilled in all pupils from an early age to encourage self-directed learning.

The ISI report also highlighted that “the contribution of curricular and extracurricular provision is excellent”. Here at Scarisbrick Hall School, we aim to provide exceptional extracurricular activities to all of our students and the wider community.

A Level Results 2023

Congratulations to all of our A level students who are celebrating their academic achievement. Perhaps more than this, as a school, we are celebrating exceptional individuals. At Scarisbrick Hall School our philosophy of learning celebrates pupils who demonstrate resilience, independence, have strong moral values, a sense of exploration and can exemplify reflection. There is no doubt that this philosophy has clearly had a significant impacting by shaping the class of 2023.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Year 13 pupils. More than a third of grades were at A*/A with two thirds of all grades at A*- B. In a year where the grade profile has declined nationally (returning to the pre-pandemic level), we are proud of the achievement of all our pupils.

Mr Shaw (Headmaster) said that “I am proud to say that our students are not only academically successful, they are also keen to go out into the world to make a difference. We are delighted to see such a broad range of subjects being taken up at some of the most prestigious universities. The diversity of subjects taken represents the unique personalities and interests of our pupils. These are young people who combine sharp intellect with fierce compassion, and they stride out from our school with our respect and admiration”

GCSE Results 2023

It has been a successful year for pupils at Scarisbrick Hall School as they celebrate their GCSE results. Despite the national grade profile being lowered post-pandemic, pupils at the school have been celebrating their success.

“I am always pleased to see our pupils received their results, no more so that the cohort of 2023 who have gone through so much. In their time at our school they have developed lifelong friendships, shared incredible experiences and I am proud to see how they have developed into tremendous young men and women who support each other so well.”

Almost 40% of all grades were at 9 – 7 (A*/A) with an overall pass rate of 97%.

With progress and value added being a key driver for our success at Scarisbrick Hall we would like to acknowledge and celebrate all our pupils and the journey that they have gone on at Scarisbrick Hall.

Many of the pupils will be progressing into Sixth Form and we wish all our pupils the best of luck for the next step in their education.
