Guidance

For our students to be entirely prepared for their University application, Sixth Form students at Scarisbrick Hall School are provided with personalised guidance and support to enable them to make wise and informed decisions regarding their plans for Higher Education.

Opportunities

Academic courses form the core of our Sixth Form experience. However, our students’ future success depends on so much more than this. It also requires energy, community spirit, enthusiasm, creativity, vigorous debate and considered reflection. All of which will help to develop independence, resilience and friendship.

EPQ

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) teaches students new skills, such as independent research, project management, reflection and self-directed learning. Plus, it is worth half an A-level (70 UCAS points), so can be used to gain extra UCAS points to support their University Application.

Leadership

The positions of Head Boy and Girl, Deputies and Heads of House are awarded to students who embody the ethos of the School, serve as role models to younger students and act as ambassadors. Through their role on the School Council, they can lead new initiatives and make positive change.

Trips

The Global Citizen trip is an excellent way for our Sixth Form students to learn about community engagement, experience a new culture and develop a deeper understanding of global issues. The projects are specially designed by the Head of Sixth Form and fully immerse and challenge students.
