Results and Inspection Reports

Here at Scarisbrick Hall School, we are proud to be rated Grade 1 in all aspects and areas of academic performance, school life and facilities. This is what makes us one of the top independent schools in the area. We were awarded a rating of ‘100% Excellent’ by the Independent School Inspectorate in our most recent inspection.
Our most recent ISI inspection is welcome proof that we are building a better future for our students as we aim to become the North West’s most progressive and forward-thinking independent school.
This ISI report stated that our “early years provision is outstanding in meeting children’s needs”, whilst “the pupils’ excellent achievement reflects exemplary attitudes to their learning and a willingness to think for themselves”. This stems from the RIVER Learning Method that is instilled in all pupils from an early age to encourage self-directed learning.
The ISI report also highlighted that “the contribution of curricular and extracurricular provision is excellent”. Here at Scarisbrick Hall School, we aim to provide exceptional extracurricular activities to all of our students and the wider community.

Examination Results
As a cohort, achievement was high across all subjects, with over 40% of all grades awarded at 9–7. In English Language, nearly 90% of grades were between 9–6 and in History, Geography, RS, Computer Science, and Business, over half of the grades achieved were well above 50%. Science and Mathematics grades were also strong with Dance, Drama, Food and Art all performing well.
At Scarisbrick Hall, we recognise that achievement is measured in a personalised and individual way. Some pupils will have worked exceptionally hard to achieve a particular grade, while others are celebrating over ten grade 9s.
Some of our Year 10 pupils on the accelerated Mathematics pathway had the opportunity to sit their exams a year early. Incredibly, 21 pupils achieved grades between 9–7, demonstrating exceptional commitment and hard work.
Mr Shaw said:
“While I am rightly proud of the hard work that all our pupils have put into their studies, today is about celebrating everything you have become and the journey you have been on at Scarisbrick Hall. I wish you all the best for the future and look forward to seeing many of you in Sixth Form next year.”
