About the role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable School Maintenance worker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our school buildings, grounds, and facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant, creating a secure and positive environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
We are looking for a friendly hard-working person with a positive outlook. You must be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a willingness to work as part of a team. Good communication skills are a must along with a willingness to deliver the best possible service and uphold the ethos, aims and values of Scarisbrick Hall School.
You will be expected to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and have good organisational skills. This is a hands on, fast paced role and will suit someone who likes working within an ambitious, friendly and hardworking team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance (basic carpentry, plumbing, painting).
- Assist with site security, opening/closing procedures, and emergency responses.
- Log completed works and assist with audits and inspections.
- Provide support for school activities and liaise courteously with staff, pupils, and visitors.
- Logistical planning and set ups.
- Keeping the site clean, well maintained, and safe
- Furniture assembly/construction
- Manual Handling & Working at Height tasks.
- Car park duties
- Grounds support
- Supporting with Health & Safety requirements
- Support with site security, including unlocking and locking the premises.
