Back in November, our Year 11 students sat their iGCSE papers and last month, they received their results. The grades received were spectacular across the board and we are so proud of our Year 11 cohort for achieving such incredible results.

Hard work and strong learning

Here at Scarisbrick Hall School we pride ourselves on our high academic standards and the thirst for learning we instil into our students, so we are extremely pleased that the spectacular results received by our students validate this.

These results truly reflect the hard work of everybody involved, including staff, students, parents and carers. Our College students have put a lot of hard work and determination into these exams and we are absolutely delighted to share these results.

Creating global academics

It is worth noting that iGCSEs are not offered to every student in the UK. iGCSEs are a global qualification, which means that the recent success of our Year 11 students is an international achievement. Valid and recognised across the globe, iGCSEs help to set Scarisbrick Hall School students apart from the crowd in an increasingly competitive job market.

Spectacular iGCSE results

More than two-thirds of all subject grades achieved were at the highest level (A/A* or 9-7) which is a spectacular achievement for our Year 11 cohort.

Headmaster Jeff Shaw said: “I would like to highlight the English results. Our students obtained a 100% pass rate with 66% of students gaining A*/A (9-7) and 90% of them achieving A*-B (9-6). These results validate the hard work and strong learning, both remote and on-site, that have been taking place.”

<h2>Continuing onto Sixth Form and beyond</h2>

These excellent results stand our College students in good stead as they continue their learning and go on to study A Levels and consider their university pathways. Scarisbrick Hall School has a strong track record in preparing our students for the very best universities in the UK and beyond, and by securing these fantastic results, our Year 11 cohort have opened up a world of opportunity as they progress into our Sixth Form and onto A-Levels.
